Simrad AP12 Powerpilot is a low profile, fixed surface mount control head with simple push button control and led indicators.

With a choice of control heads...The Simrad AP12 and AP14 autopilots are two of the most reliable and best value for money and performance pilots on the market. Both autopilots use the same superbly designed autopilot computer for the hydraulic pack versions and microprocessor technology built into the sophisticated rotary drive unit for the cable steering versions. As with all Simrad autopilots, electronic intelligence has been incorporated to adjust the steering action to the state of the sea and wind. This will automatically change the amount of helm that is required to hold the course and therefore maintain a more accurate and directcourse.

Steer-to-GPS
Both hydraulic systems and cable systems can be easily integrated to GPD via NMEA. Linked to your GPS, a single press of the Nav key tells the Simrad AP12 or Simrad AP14 to take its commands from your GPS, and follow a path to the next waypoint.

Automatic fine-tuning
Different sea states and boat speeds require different degrees of helm to hold a course. The Simrad AP12 and Simrad AP14 both have an electronic "intelligence" that automatically adjusts their steering action accordingly.
